Nodes
2D/3D Constraints
Solve a camera or place geometry from tracked points paired with mesh vertices.
The solving half of the lineup workflow. Linking happens in the Movie Clip Editor sidebar; this node runs the solve.
Scene Mode
With Constrain To set to Scene in the sidebar:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Line Up | Holds geometry still, solves the scene camera's pose to match |
| Align Geometry | Holds the camera still, moves the mesh to match the plate |
| Check | Measures error without changing anything |
Use Line Up when the model is what you trust, like a surveyed set. Use Align Geometry when the camera solve is right and the model needs to drop into it.
Object Mode
Pick a solved object and press Align to Object to move a mesh onto that object's motion.
The hand tracks you linked must have been wired into the
Object Solve node's Tracks input before solving, because the
fit lands on the 3D points that solve produced. The node names any linked track that
isn't in the solve.
Lens Calibration
Known geometry seen through a distorting lens is good evidence about the distortion, so the same links can calibrate the lens. Calibrate Lens does that, with a views setting and a button to clear the result.
Error Reporting
Reports average and worst reprojection error in pixels for the current frame. Under about 2 pixels shows a tick.
One link far worse than the rest is usually a marker paired to the wrong vertex. Remove it rather than adding more points around it.
