Stabilize
Smooth or lock camera motion using a solved track.
Uses a solve to remove shake from footage. Takes Auto Track and Image Sequence, and
writes a stabilized sequence to disk.
Because it works from a real 3D solve rather than 2D pattern matching, it knows what the camera actually did.
Result
| Option | What you get |
|---|---|
| Smooth Motion | Keeps the camera move, removes the high-frequency shake |
| No Motion (Lock) | Removes the motion entirely, as if shot on a tripod |
Smoothness (frames) is the half-window of the smoothing, defaulting to 15. Larger values remove slower wobble but eat more framing, so they need more crop.
Framing
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Crop & Auto-scale | Zooms in just enough that no frame shows a border. The zoom used is reported after the run. |
| Stabilize Only | Keeps the full frame, so moving black borders stay visible for you to handle in comp |
Output
Format is PNG or JPEG. There's no output socket: press Import as Footage to get a new Footage node pointing at the stabilized frames.
